Carrazeda de Ansiaes Portugal

Carrazeda de Ansiães is a Portuguese town, belonging to the District of Braganza, North region and intermunicipal community of Douro, with about 1,600 inhabitants. It is the seat of a municipality with 280.91 km² of area and 7.642 inhabitants (2001), subdivided into 19 parishes. The municipality limits to the north with the municipalities of Murça and Mirandela, northeast with Vila Flor, east with Torre de Moncorvo, south with Vila Nova de Foz Côa, southwest with São João da Pesqueira and west with Alijó. The concelho obtained a charter in 1075, and its status as a town was confirmed by a permit from Juan V on April 6, 1734.
