Cuevas del Almanzora is a Spanish municipality in the eastern part of the province of Almería, Andalusia. Its population on January 1, 2017 was 13 655 inhabitants (INE) .1 Its surface area is 263 km² and it has a density of 52.23 inhabitants / km². It is located at an altitude of 88 meters and 97 kilometers from the provincial capital, Almería.The municipality of Cuevas del Almanzora is located in the northeast of the province of Almería. It limits to the north with Huércal-Overa and Pulpí, to the south with Vera and Antas, to the east with the Mediterranean Sea and to the west with Antas and Huércal-Overa, again. It has an extension of 263 square kilometers, and about 14 kilometers of coastline.
